Setting E-Mail Options For Netscape


STEP 1: Run the Netscape User Profile Manager

  • Close Netscape
  • From the windows start menu:Choose Programs | Netscape communicator& | Utilities | User Profile Manager
  • Click New to create a new profile
  • Click Next to proceed with the Creating a New Profile wizard.

Step 2: Enter your Name and E-mail

  • Use your own domain name
  • Click next

STEP 3: Set the default Profile Name and Directory

  • In most cases you will leave these settings as they are
  • Click next

STEP 4: Set the Outgoing Mail Server

  • Use your own domain name for the E-mail address and Outgoing Mail Server
  • Click next

STEP 5: Set the Incoming Mail Server

  • Type in your user name
  • Use your own domain name for the Incoming Mail Server
  • Click next

STEP 6: Ignore the News server for now

  • Click Finish and you are done
